So, Katsucon went pretty well! I can't believe I was actually able to go.
I didn't sell as much as I intended. Only about half of my inventory, but I still made $500. That's enough to last me until Springfest which I have a feeling will go much, much better!
The con was such a unique experience. Even though I was probably one of the most antisocial people at an anime convention, I still met a lot of really nice people. A lot of people liked my shop. Even if somebody came by to admire my things but didn't buy anything, I was still really honored. It felt good.
There was a booth there selling nothing but pixel art. I didn't see it until kind of late, but it made me feel kind of bad. They had pixel sprites of everything, but just the sprite, nothing else. The entire booth was dedicated to it. There were also like 4 or 5 other booths that had some kind of perler art, like keychains and earrings and stuff. I didn't see anyone else with necklaces.
After I saw them, I put out every single one of my necklaces. At first, I was only going to put out a few, because I had like 48 different ones, but I put out all of them and really began to sell~! The first one I sold was the 'NSFW' one. A lot of people liked the 'ur fat' necklace! A bunch of people came back to buy it but I only made one, so I gave them my business card instead!
I brought like 80 business cards and gave them all out. People kept asking so I just had to write down my URL on a piece of paper.
Lolitas, actual LOLITAS who wore make-up and beautiful dresses and coordinated outfits with shoes and stocking and purses and hair-clips and jewelry and wigs that all matched came up to my booth. SO MANY OF THEM. They were so gorgeous. I was so completely flattered that actual, real lolitas loved my necklaces. Even brand lolitas. That's like... as good as they get! I met a girl who had an entire outfit bought in Japan from Moi Meme Moitie! I recognized it too, because as soon as I saw her, I was like to my friend "She looks just like Mana!" and it turned out she was wearing all of his clothes from his line! <3
AND SNEKO, THIS GIRL WHO IS OFTEN INVITED TO LOCAL CONS IN ORDER TO PERFORM JPOP AND KPOP COVERS... bought one of my necklaces. And two hats from OolahOolah, my best friend's shop who I was sharing a booth with. It was so magical! I told her I was a huge fan and she even took a picture with me. I've idolized her since CastlePoint Anime Convention last year!
I have so many ideas for new necklaces. I'm going to start working on them right away.
Today I'm joining the gym again! <3 I have to get fit for my Pinkie Pie and Wonder Girl cosplay.
I'll write more in my personal blogs, but I'll keep this updated with my craft creations and other ideas I might come up with. I'm buying mini hama beads ASAP! <3

More creations!
Today I made my first Chocomint inspired fluffy necklace!
Still unsure if I'm going to list this one, but, I might! Just listed it! I'm gonna make more to experiment with thickness and the different kinds of adornments I can use!
I'm pretty happy with the way it came out for my first try. It doesn't seem to photograph well, though. A lot of the decorations I glued on aren't showing up very well. My mother suggested I should use brighter ones, but I also really like the way it's very faint and pastel. I'll do different designs in the future.
In the future, I know to stock up on: larger ribbon, more cabochons/beads and lots of fuzzy yarn! I bought this one at Wal-Mart for like $3. They only had it in this pastel lilac/pink and blue. I really wanted mint green... I'll have to look around.
I can't wait to make more! They're not too time-consuming and not too money-consuming either.
It feels good to step out of my comfort zone!
I also got my adorable candy hearts and I am convinced that I need to buy more so I can make more!
I need money! I can't wait to buy more supplies. <3

Cute bow!
Yesterday I went looking for clothes at this one small thrift shop... it wasn't exactly a thrift shop, more like something I qualify for because my family is so poor, haha. All the clothes are free there. I picked out a couple of sweaters that were cute, but that's all. I'm still not sure if I'll end up keeping them, but that's all they had.
I put up a listing for my hair bow on Etsy and I love how the pictures came out! I used my new pink deer fabric in the back. I love the way pink looks on photographs so much more than blue. And my wig looked really good with those colors!

And someone already bought it! Not even an hour after I listed it! I'm gonna be making it in blue, purple and mint green as well~ I want to make other kinds of hair clips also! This can be found in my shop, in the sidebar is a link to it, Weeabootique!

Today's been a handful already! Last night I got to sleep around 4ish thinking about all of the fairy kei opportunities I'll have as soon as I get some money. I even dreamed about making cute 80s hair scrunchies!
Unfortunately, around 3AM the new kittens stepped on the switch on my power strip and turned everything in my room off. This incidentally broke my computer as well. I couldn't do anything to fix it, I spent 6+ hours trying everything I could! So instead, I backed up my old hard drive and did a clean install of Windows.
While I was waiting for the hard drive to copy and putting Windows 7 on my USB drive, I played around on my laptop and found some super old conversations from when I was in 8th/9th grade. Memories!
I also found pictures of me from the spring/summer. It turns out... I wasn't as fat as I thought I was back then. Over the following fall/winter, I gained back everything I lost from January-May. This always happens to me... I think I'm fat and then I /really/ get fat and look back on the pictures and mourn.
Well, actually, they inspired me! Now I feel like working out again, I mean really giving it an effort. I lost at least 25 lbs between January-May of last year. If I can do the same this year between February-April, I'll be in good shape! It's gonna be hard without a gym membership, but I'll give it a shot.
Here are pictures from last Spring:
My poses look awkward in both photos because I was trying to visually decrease the size of my upper arms... ahem.
But I really hope I can get around that weight range again.
I'd only have to lose like... 25-30 lbs. It sounds like a lot, but I've done it before twice!
And in other news, I've been working on making lists of things I want to buy. It's growing by the second!
I made several lists and categorized them in order of importance, although each cluster of items is in no order.
Things I need to pay no matter what:
- pay back grandma ($180)
- car battery
- pay back Oscar for ticket
- money toward hotel
- money to get cats fixed ($180)
Craft supplies I will need to continue my business:
- perler beads
- headpins
- eyepins
- chain
- clasps
- 6mm jump rings
- 8mm jump rings
- white star charms
- white heart charms
- cell phone straps
- alligator clips
- earrings
- white and pink ribbon
- business cards
Craft supplies I want to buy in order to make new stuff for my business:
- mini hama beads
- lilac nabbi beads
- mokomoko yarn
- model magic
- polymer clay
- acrylic sealant
- acrylic paint
Things I just want but probably won't be able to afford ever [>>;]:
- palty bleach - natural brown
- palty dye - maple doughnut
- mint green wig
- sushi!
- pastel shoes/boots/sneakers (lavender or mint green doc marten combat boots is my dreaaam)
- new make-up
- thrift store finds!!!
- psp lcd & frontplate
That ought to keep me busy for a while. All the more reason to try making as much money as possible.
I also put three items up on eBay. One pair of designer shoes my mom's friend found in a mall dumpster, they're worth like over $100. I also put up a matching clutch for the same price. And I'm selling a brand new 'Black Label Society' sweatshirt for like $30ish that I bought as a Christmas present for my best friend's sister's boyfriend like three years ago, haha. I AM PRAYING THEY SELL. I desperately need every penny!

I just found the BEST video ever!
This has got me so pumped! I think as soon as I get a little pocket change, I'm gonna start frequenting nearby thrift shops, salvation armies, etc. I did once before with a friend of mine but we didn't find anything good. This video though really gets me pumped up about it! I think I can find some really good things!
I can't wait! <3 I am seriously stoked for this. EVERYONE SHOULD SEE THIS VIDEO.
Just not if you live near me because... I WANT IT ALL. <3

Aaaand, my first hairclip!
I just finished my first hairclip! I'm not going to list it until I get a mannequin head and then I can position it on my gorgeous lilac wig! But here she is~
I wanna make a bunch of different colors! And a lot of different hairclip designs. I only have 25 clips to spare for now. But I'll do my best!
And, that's the underside! I thought about lining the clip, but I decided that next time I'm going to buy colored ones. Probably white and pink. I also learned my lesson about double prong.. I never thought about it. It's a lot harder to disguise the hot glue, which I used to glue them together, when it's double-pronged. Single prong and colored from now on. I'm learning!
My first brooch~
I've been wanting to make more things that aren't necklaces, so that I have a little variety in my shop.
So, today I had an idea for a twin brooch! I'd been wanting to make something of the Little Twin Stars, Kiki and Lala. They're so gorgeous and pastel. I decided to make a brooch of them! I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

I underestimated how simple it'd be to make a dual brooch, but I think I've finally got the hang of it! Now I need to focus on making some cute hair clips and more cell phone charms.
